Default Can't play movies on Panasonic DVD player

I captured video in Movie Maker and burned it to a cd-r. It plays great in
Media Player, but is not recognized by my Panasonic DVD player. Any ideas ?
I checked and the Panasonic I have is compatible. Help!

Did you convert the video to a VCD in some third party application? You
can't play the WMV or DV-AVI in a standard DVD player.

Which 3rd party programs do you recommend to transfer Movie Maker projects onto a DVD player readable VCD or DVD?

TMPGEnc is one the best programs out there to do it.

Chris, I have a Panasonic also. I am a novice I know, but do you mean as I am making the movie I have to convert it to VCD? Can I convert the ones I have made to VCD after I have downloaded the TMPGnc recommendation?
Thanks K
