Sounds like you need a bigger hard drive or more free space.
Also you might want to see whats running in the background and turn off some programs.
You might also want to post what operating system, amount of ram you have

I can make a movie just fine and save it and burn it, the problem i'm having is everytime i try to put a title in or add an affect the whole screen just dissappears and it goes back to my desktop. I don't think this has anything to do with my ram or memory
which i happen to have plenty of both.

Hello!
I have problems with Windows Movie Maker 2: first of all, it seems to "eat up" all the free space in the hard drive. I have 2.90 GB of free space, but I only manage to make a movie of 25 minutes (PAL high quality video, about 3 MB per minute). The amount

of the free space left melts with every second, then it says that there is no more free space, and finishes with a movie of about 100 MB only! Then it turns out that there is still plenty of free space left...
Also, I tried to insert a title to my movie many times, but as soon as I start typing the title, the program simply turns off and brings me back to the desktop! No error report is shown, it is just off!
Can I change the settings somehow, or do you have a patch which would solve the problem?

Windows uses a temp file while creating the movie. I imagine with so little
disc space you are running out of temporary (swap file) file space. That's
why it requires 2 gig of free hard drive space, and why you seem to have
plenty of space when you finish.
