XP Home networking steup
I am trying to connect my two computers, both running XP
Pro so I can share my internet connection, printer and files. However whenever I try to run the Set Up Home Networking wizard on one of the computers - the one with the internet connection - i get the error message: "Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The wizard then stops and although i can now use the internet on both machines i cannot share the files or printers. Can anybody help me resolve this problem please? Thankyou |

This is invariably caused by using the "Setup a Home or Small Office Network" wizard. Microsoft articles 324757/810894 do not resolve the problem and send novice users into the registry.
Instead download the utility posted by Brother Ltd which repairs the spooler: http://global.solutions.brother.com/...000/index.html Quote:
