Don't all rush to answer my post on 'error 1450'
Brian,
You don't seem to know much. You don't know why the problem started and now you don't why it disappeared! Try doing a little research and help for yourself before you chastise others for not helping you. You're an imbecile! Try Kaylene's recommendation next time. I did a Google search for "Error 1450" (without the quotes) and it came back with 142,000 hits. Do you think that just possibly and maybe 1 of those may help you figure out your problem. PO -----Original Message----- Thanks for nothing, guys. The problem has disappeared, and I don't know why. And maybe you don't either. b . |

Well that go a response!! But not much help, though some of you tried.
Thanks. Actually I did try google before I asked the question and I didn't find any references to my specific problem, neither did I find any in Microsoft's Knowledge Base. Here's a copy of the original post: Hello all: running xp with sp1 installed. I have it networked (occasionally) with my laptop via a crossover cable, network card to network card. I don't share the internet connection (dial-up). All's been fine till recently. I leave the desktop on all the time and dial up when I want to send/receive e-mail/news. Now, after it's been up for over 1 day when I ask it to dial up I get this error, 'TCP/IP CP reported error 1450. Insufficient system resources to complete requested service'. I haven't installed or changed anything so I don't understand what's wrong. If I reboot it dials up fine. Any ideas, please? thanks brian. Is that a 'stupid' question, or does asking that make me an ibecile? thanks for any ideas brian |
