Need help with IE

I am unable to see the graphics on certain sites and don't know why. C/net
and the Hewlett-Packard site come to mind. I have IE version
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 (whew!). Most sites load normally,
but others show only the picture placeholders with properties "bug.cgi,
protocol: Hypertext Transfer Protocol, adrress: http//127.0.0.1:0/bug.cgi.
I have tried with security on medium, Pop-up blocker disabled, firewall
disabled, debugging scripts enabled.
