Default Service Pack 2 (SP2)

A little annoyed acyually,
The download takes ages and when it is finally installed cock all works.
I tried to connect the internet using IE and SP2 just wouldnt allow me to,
it kept saying 'page could not connect' It is the same page that comes up
when my modem is switched pff or you try and browse the net with out
connecting to the internet.
I am using the free version of Zonelabs firewall which i turned off when
using sp2 but still nothing. I like the idea of the service pack 2 its just
if it doesnt work or if there is so many problems what is the point of
downloading it??
Is there anyway that i can make it work?
PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!
Cheers

I understand that you are frustrated and am sympathetic. However, you
haven't told us anything about your machine so we could give you
specific help. Details that would be good are 1) make/model of your
machine (if OEM); 2) whether the machine was 100% spyware and
virus-free and if you thought so, how you knew; 3) what other
preparations you did before installing SP2; 4) what specific problems
aside from not being able to connect to the Internet you are
experiencing (and how you connect - I assume dialup - what ISP?).

In the meantime, here are links to help you troubleshoot SP2:
