Default Media Center - Set Up With TV?

I am a new owner of a media center pc. I actually have 2 of them. I want to
connect one in my office directly to my tv to view recorded programs through
the tv while computing. The other one I want to connect to a tv through a
cable box - it's located in another part of the house.

Neither of these tvs has an "s" video connector. The digital cable box
doesn't have an "s" video connector.

For the media center that I want connected directly to the tv: I purchased a
2 device AV s-video switcher tonight so I could connect an s video cable to
it and then use rca cables to the tv. However, how am I supposed to get the
tv to know it's supposed to run off the media center output?

For the media center that I want connected through the digital tv: we have
to go and get the appropriate composite cable tomorrow - I didn't realize it
was a necessary part of the picture.

I need to know, is this going to work or must you have a media center
extender in order to view data through the tv or will this work?

No idea as you're asking in the wrong place. Please repost in the Media
Centre group.
