Default Startup programs not showing in Taskbar (systray)

'Suddenly' I have a number of programs I load on startup that are showing up
in Task Manager but have stopped showing up as icons in the systray area of
the taskbar. Further, although generally it is the same ones, sometimes they
specific programs that exhibit this change. Any ideas why this might be and
how to fix it?

Thanks.

What programs are we speaking of? Are they hidden by the
arrow pointing left on the taskbar? If you want to see
them, right-click on the start button - left click on
properties - Select the Taskbar tab - click customize
button next to Hide Inactive Icons - change those icons
to the properties you want.

Hope this helps - let me know.

Hello, xfiler!
You wrote on Tue, 12 Apr 2005 07:49:53 -0700:

Very familiar with the hide setting and they are not hiding; some of them
are not showing up altho they are loaded (and functioning) as can be seen in
the task manager processes.

These are all programs that did not have this problem for a long time (2
months) but just showed up.

I think I may have found the problem, though I don't understand why it would
do this. I had Kerio PF 4.1 installed. Since deleting it and installing KPF
2.15 the problem went away (at least last time I booted). Need to try again
and see if it sticks.

Thanks.
