Just went through that with a corrupted OE. You go to File, and Create (new
personality). Name it whatever, and then after you're over the shock of seeing an empty, new OE w/o folders, etc....just go to File/Import/Messages from your OE version---it will bring them in to your new Identity. Then, Import/Address Book. You'll have to go back (Switch Identities) and remove the mail, etc. but write down what you've put into your News and Mail Accounts. Good luck. Please don't consider that I was having a pop at you personally, I do understand that you are one of the people who give up their time to help others in need of assistance, and do give out very good advice too. I was trying to point out mainly to "Ayush", that unfortunately sometimes using a dedicated NG to answer your specific post can bear little results, and I do find subscribers to these groups tolerant and willing to give advice to most topics. Considering OE is packaged with XP and covered in the help and support centre but not exactly my question, couldn't I be forgiven for posting In the "help_and_support" NG as many, many, other posters use this NG for *non* support specifically for "help_and_support" function in XP? Also on the 7/10/06 we discussed a similar topic about me posting to "microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player", which I already did on the 6/10/06. It's now the 10/10/06 and guess what? still no advice from there. So I will reiterate what I wrote to "Ayush". Besides it doesn't help either the OP or the other posters when groups get posts that belong elsewhere. All that does is increase the traffic unnecessarily.
