Default XP and Office 2003

heaven A !! folks
Norm here. I turned on automatic update. Now my office applications
come up with a no path, try permissions message. Another symptom, winword.exe
is corrupted and lastly, organize favorites no longer functions, although I
can add to the list. None of my office apps or office tools can be opened.
How would one go aboutfinding this solution ??

Any office applications open?
If so, break out your Office 2003 CD (media) and put it in. Cancel anything
that happens "automatically".
Open Excel, Word, Powerpoint, whatever...
Select (from top) "Help" -- "Detect and Repair".
Choose the checkboxes you desire.
Let it finish up, following any directions it gives.
Close any open office applications.
Reboot for good measure.
Come back and let us know.
