How do you turn this thing off so that it does not monitor the desktop. I'm
fully capable of my own monitoring. I don't need resources wasted doing
this for me. It is an annoyance too.
Thanks

Hello,

Are you referring to the Desktop Cleanup Wizard?

If so, to disable it:

Start Control Panel Display Desktop (tab) Customize Desktop
UNCHECK Run Desktop Cleanup every 60 Days OK OK

If you're referring to the Desktop Cleanup Wizard, do the
following;

Go to Control Panel and double click the Display icon.
In Display Properties, click on the Desktop tab.
On the Desktop page, hit the Customize Desktop button.
In Desktop Items, remove the check mark from the box next to
"Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days".
Click OK twice.
