Default icons not displaying with logos

All of a sudden my display page and most of my desktop icons have lost their
color images and I just have the square box with letters denoting what they
are.All will open up with a click, but it is so much easier when you get the
"corporate logo"

Have you tried rebooting? The loss of icons has occurred on my
system too and I have no idea why but rebooting worked.
