Default After SP2 install IE stops working.

Greetings.

I've installed SP2 on several systems but everytime I try on this one
systems IE stops working.
When I try to invoke IE I get a C++ runtime error R6025.
IE runs fine before SP2.

I ran several different virus checks as well as verifying that the system is
free of spy ware.

Any hints?

Thanks

Thanks for you reply.
A Google search was one of the first things I tried.
I also search in the Microsoft KB.
I should have mentioned that
Although both contained alot of info, neither had a solution to this
particuar issue.

Do you have any third-party browser extensions installed? What is
different about this system? Is it an OEM system? Do you use any
special ISP software that may be integrated into IE?

Default After SP2 install IE stops working.

No third-party browser extensions installed but just to be safe I disabled
these in Internet Options.

There are many more software packages installed on the system that is
failing than on the systems that work. To many to either list here or to
uninstall just to try to resolve this issue.

It's a machine that originally came with Win 2K but I upgraded last year.

BIOS is up to date and all other MS updates have been done.
No special integrated ISP software (like Earthlink, NetZero or AOL)

I guess I'll just continue to use FireFox on this system.
Thanks for your help.
