Default FVD Speed Dial extension

I installed the FVD Speed Dial on Firefox (54.0.1) but the recent
update caused problems and I decided to remove it and return to the
different Speed Dial 0.9.6.18 extension that I had used previously.
However, having removed FVD, when I now click on the new page + it
opens with the following: "Firefox can’t find the file at
chrome://fvd.speeddial/content/fvd_about_blank.html". Can anyone help
me get rid of this. Incidentally if I remember not to click on the +
but instead click on the older Speed Dial icon, this avoids the
problem. However I would really like to get rid of the FVD remains.
(OS-W10) Thanks.

Regards,
ChrisW

if you go to about:config and type newtab as the search filter, does it
show anything FVD related that you could wipe?

Followed your instructions and found the above entry - deleted it and
everything is now back to normal.

Thank you so much for your help, Andy.
