Default How do I bypass the xp welcome scrren?

On Windows XP Pro SP2
I am the only user of the computer so it is getting a little tedious having
to click on the icon to log on every time I start the computer. On my last
machine the OS was the same and I was the only user but it seemed that after
logging on as the same user all the time it automatically started to log on
as me.
I have tried changing the log on options in user accounts but that only
brings up a username & password dialog box.

A solution to bypass the welcome/log on screen would be much appreciated

TIA

Dave

Use the "control userpasswords2" method near the bottom of the KB article.
