Default Windows Media Connect "Folder sharing could not be started..."

I have searched the web for solutions to this problem but nothing works. I
am trying to connect my 360 but am getting hindered by this error.
I have tried:
Reinstalling wmc
re-registering upnp dll files
Changing network sharing permissions

Nothing seems to work... I did try rebooting after each attempt at a
solution but had no luck.

This problem is driving me nuts so if someone has a solution it would be
much appreciated

Dave
