"Not Connected" appearing after Workgroup setup

I just set up a workgroup for my home LAN. Now,
periodically, one of my machines will pop-up with
the "Lost Network Connection" box and ask me to Work
Offline or Reconnect. I can reconnect no problem (I'm
using a cable modem connected to a Netgear 4-port router)
but this didn't happen before the workgroup. Suggestions?
