Service pack 2 error 8007F0F4
I started download of XP service pack 2 and I oked the
install the service pack 2. The install failed with the Error Code: 8007F0F4. Since the installation failure, I do not get the XP service pack 2 download icon anymore. When I click on window update, it displays a message saying that the service pack will be downloaded automatically. Any idea how I can restart the download and install of the service pack 2 and why xp service pack2 failed in the first place? Thanks for any suggestion. |

Have you done major cleaning before trying to install.
Spyware Removal (free) www.spysweeper.com Ad-Aware SE (free) (Download, Update & Run) http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ Download and Run a free virus scanner to double check your current one. http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/Scanners.htm You might try to download & save to a folder then disconnect from the internet and disable your virus & firewall protection then install from the folder. You can download SP2 from here it will be a large file if you do not have a broadband connection I would not suggest downloading from here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en -- Good Day Haus "John" wrote in message ...
