Default Folder icons don't display properly on cds?

It only happens on cds (don't know about DVD media as I very rarely use it
on my desk top pc).I'm thinking it has something to do with thumbnail files,
the checkbox not
is not ticked in cache thumbnails in ExplorerToolsOptions.

Instead of the normal folder icon I get the generic e icon which is used by
Internet explorer. Anyone have any Idea how to solve this problem and have
data cds display the correct folder icon?

The Default Internet Explorer Icon is Displayed in Explorer When a CD/DVD Disc is Opened

This is a bug in Windows that will never be fixed, however there
is a workaround.

This behaviour happens when 'use large icons' is checked under
'Display Properties--Effects'.

To fix it:

1. Right-click on the Desktop and select Properties.
2. Click the "Appearance" tab, then the "Advanced" button.
3. Click the down arrow and scroll down to "Icon".
4. Change the size to 47 ("use large icons" sets this value to 48)
5. OK, Apply, OK.
6. Log off or restart.

Thanks very much, that worked a treat.
