Default USB 2.0 drivers

Having trouble getting drivers to install on my system.
I am running WIndows XP Home (with SP 1) on an ASUS A7N8X
mobo...problem is, whenever I attempt to install the USB
drivers, the "Install Wizard" attempts to copy the files
and then says it cannot because the data is invalid!!! I
have tried to use the Windows XP drivers, the ASUS
drivers for USB 2.0, and I get the same message every
time, that the data is invalid! What in the world does
that mean?!! And where should I go from here? Any help
is much appreciated!

Thanks
