Default win desktop search - look in application data

Hello, i can seem to get windows desktop search to look in my
user\application data folder. it doesnt show in the custom file selection,
and even thought i have the whole documents and settings folder checked, the
search will not look in the appdata folder. i just need it to index some
text files in there (gaim IM logs).
