No fooling!

You know any services that will take a company check?
No way I am giving them a credit card.

Is it not a good idea to have set up several news servers that you can
use? I have seven - one provided by my ISP, one pay-for (about $10 per
year), and five free (including ES). All are active (although four are
maybe only used for one newsgroup). My mail/news client warns when one
of them is not responding, and it's only a minute's work to determine
which it is. For the newsgroup(s) affected, I can then use one of the
other news servers instead.

They are up and down, I have switched over to AIOE until they get back
to normal, They are having server problems and are hard at work trying
to get everything running well again, no small job I gather.

I'm reluctant to say anything, afraid I'll be next ... but so far I
haven't been having any problems with ES, while so many others have
recently. I'm wondering about the locations, and if they are upgrading
in some locations only, causing these disruptions. Just hope it's not
coming my way. [U.S. - GA]

I have a feeling you should be more worried about Irma coming your way.

Works fine for me, both up and down. Had to reactivate my registration
once it reappeared. And by God, is the new version fast compared to the
old one.

that think they can use ip numerals to shut out everyone. Wait until

Up and down for me - obviously, if this gets out, working at the moment.

I'm grateful whatever, given that it's free!
