C:\BatchRun folder questrion

I have a C:\BatchRun folder, 11.3 GB and 28 items, which I would like to
delete but I do not know what its purpose is or what created it. It
contains mostly zip folders which were last saved from 11/3/2010 thru
4/16/2016. All of the 2016 files have extensions ".zip.tmp1" thru ".tmp5".

Google gives no info but constantly refers to a BatchRun program which I
have never installed or used.

If no one can offer an explanation I will move the folder off C:\ to a
scratch disc to see if any problems occur.

That's a pretty generic name. I see an example here,
but it might not be the one in your case. I'm not sure

Batchrun's .brs batch files, an alternative to .bat files,
can launch any number of Windows programs with just a click.

I'd check for that extension hiding somewhere on the machine.

Search for ".brs" using Everything and FileSeek gives nothing.

I need some additional room on C:\, an SSD, so I will move the entire
folder to a scratch HDD and see what happens.

What I do in such cases is rename the folder or file, appending x- at
the beginning of the name and -x at the end. I then set a reminder on
my calendar to delete the renamed object in about two months if nothing
goes wrong.
