Thanks. An interesting article by Paul Thurrott.

"Many previously activated PCs will not successfully activate Windows 10
when the OS is later reinstalled.

This has happened to me at least twice, and I’ve heard from multiple readers
who have been bitten by this problem as well. And once Windows 10 is no
longer free for upgraders, it’s going to be even worse."

Eh, NOT so much..

Many readers of this site are probably technical enough to recover from these kinds of problems.

If you CAN'T, then you're too ****ing stupid to be using a computer,
OR be on the Net (good way to rid it of many trolls),,

Good Guy agrees with you. For once somebody said something sensible
which we hesitated to say for fear of being branded superior educated nerds.

There are some complex systems out there that the Win10 upgrade craps
out on, and requires a lot of rejigging just to get it to work. For
example, a lot of people with SSD's have found that there isn't enough
space on their C drives for the own personal data, so they move their
data onto a secondary HDD. This is guaranteed to make Win 10 upgrade puke.
