Default Printers added automatically

-----Original Message-----
XP Pro seems to be promiscuous and finds networked
printers and automatically adds them to its printers
list. I do not want printers on the list unless I
intentionally add them. How do I disable this feature?
.

I am having the same problem. Please help us!

Thanks

This is a feature of the explorer process. You should also be getting
connections to shared folders. I have to admit some people like this. If
you can live without both open any explorer window

Tools / Folder Options / View / Automatically search for network folders and
printers
You know what to do

This feature only kicks in on Workgrouped machines. It does not function
when the machine is joined to a domain.
