it causing you? On Sat, 3 Jul 2004 11:40:58 +0200, "SM" wrote: Does anybody know how to uninstall MS' new patch (KB870669)? It creates problems in Firefox. |

Critical Patch Problems! Uninstall How?
Hi,
Not recommended, you should make firefox aware of this (if they are not already). It may not be their program, but rather a nasty that is already on your machine that uses this vulnerability. Before you do anything, ensure this is not the cause. Removal of the patch is not supported, but you might try reversing the manual process described in the patch article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=870669 -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "SM" wrote in message ... "Jerome M. Katz" skrev i en meddelelse ... It hasn't caused me any problems in Firefox. What kinds of problems is it causing you? Firefox has been slow since I installed the patch a few hours ago; especially when logging in to web-mail and the like. I haven't changed anything else since the installation. Just want to get rid of the thing. On Sat, 3 Jul 2004 11:40:58 +0200, "SM" wrote: Does anybody know how to uninstall MS' new patch (KB870669)? It creates problems in Firefox. |

... Which version of Firefox are you using? 0.9.1. It not only slows Firefox down; once in a while Firefox insists on sending errormessages to Microsoft, then it shuts down. I didn't have any problems before. I'm going to restore the system. I am using 0.9 and have found no slowdown since installing the latest Windows update last evening. I am still using Firefox 0.9 (I did not upgrade to 0.9.1 when it came
out and probably won't based on your experience. On Sat, 3 Jul 2004 18:02:21 +0200, "SM" wrote: "Jerome M. Katz" skrev i en meddelelse .. . Which version of Firefox are you using? 0.9.1.
