Q

Troll? I made a comment (of disappointment actually)
because a group of familiar games didn' work on
a new computer I'm installing. Was that a sinful thing
to have done? Did I need your permission first?
Help me out here. I sure didn't mean to annoy folks
with a simple comment about a few games!

578 games, and not one of them is Tripeaks!

The solitaire in WinXP will work in Win7, Just copy it over. I did and it
worked just fine.

Was Tripeaks part of Win XP? I think it was part of the
Entertainment Pack.

But regardless, it WON'T work in 64-bit Windows 7.

Huh? Not one of the XP Pro games will run on my version
of Win 7 (mine's 64 bit --that's probably the difference).

Do you have games turned off?

So, my question: Is there a freeware source for the common
solitaire games in which the cards are like the XP Pro (and
common, real) cards ?

I also have Win7 64 bit and I transferred Solitaire and MineSweeper
from WinXP to W7 Pro 64bit and had no trouble running both games. No
install was necessary - just put each game in its own folder. It did
take me about 5 minutes to identify and locate the program files and
the help files.

That happened weeks ago.

I don't visit very often but I was amused right away to read this classic
fairly harmless troll!
He gets his kicks that way, poor fellow. Probably leads a rather dull life.

+1 There's a pattern to it's posts. It has also been known to take the
discussion off group and into private mail.

Well, FYI I've done that exactly once in some 30 years of computing.
You of course were the "victim" and it was several months ago. As I
recall, the request was for explanation of a technical process which
explanation I knew would be lengthly and detailed.
I sure am sorry that I totally messed up your life all these months.

30 years of computing, and still asking beginner's questions? A pretty slow
learner.
Or a giveaway !!!

They might be referring to impressions received from many posts in a
number of threads, rather than just the one post...

Exactly! He has asked the same questions multiple times, gotten
correct answers from me as well as several other people here, ignored
all the answers (or purposely misunderstood them), and just said the
same dumb things over and over again.

I've given up replying to his messages and trying to help him; it's
just a waste of my time. It's hard to imagine anyone but a troll
behaving like he does. He's either a troll or an excellent imitator of
a troll.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, of course.

Although I made the above comment about impressions from many posts, I
am not convinced that Pfsszxt is a troll, but neither am I convinced
that he is *not* a troll.

I don't think he is Valorie, but that too is an opinion.

Still asking beginner's questions, getting correct answers to them
from several different people, ignoring the answers, and asking the
same questions over and over again.

It's hard to imagine anyone but a troll doing that.
