Default Problem with continuous reboot after installation on WinXP SP2

My husband installed WinXP SP2 this morning on his business computer after
being prompted by Windows Update. Since then the computer just continuously
reboots. He has tried a cold reboot but no success. Has anyone else had
this problem? What caused it and how do we resolve
