sp2 does not work
when I tried sp2 my display went ballistic. All the icons were gigantic - an
inch wide - and I could not change the display resolution at all. Tried two times, same deal. I have a hp 753n.

Roll back the drivers via the Device Manager.

Did you install the latest Windows XP video drivers from the manufacturer?
