Default Ctrl+Alt+Del won't bring up Windows Security box

Hi, I bought an eMachine a couple of weeks ago. It has
Windows XP on it. I noticed yesterday that Ctrl+Alt+Del
will not bring up the Windows Security box or Task
Manager. Is there a setting I need to change or is
something wrong with the software? Thanks!

thanks, I'll try this when I get home. But, from what
I've read, if my task manager was disabled, I would be
getting a pop-up error message saying that the
adminstrator has disable it or something like that. I'm
not getting that error. Ctrl+Alt+Del just doesn't do
anything. No Windows Security or Task Manager. But, no
error message either.

It doesn't appear that anything happens. It doesn't pop-
up and then go away quickly. I did a couple of virus
scan and updates and no viruses were found.

I'll try typing that taskmgr in Start-Run later when I
get home and see what that does.

Thanks for your help!

okay, typing taskmgr in the run line works. Also,
regedit and msconfig work. But, for some reason, the
Ctrl+Alt+Del shorcut is disabled. Maybe not a big issue,
just annoying. Is there another way I can get to the
Windows Security box other than Ctrl+Alt+Del?
