Default How to turn off Google tracking

"Mayayana" on Fri, 17 Aug 2018 09:54:10
-0400 typed in alt.windows7.general the following:

| Sorry, I'm cranky. Microsoft seems to believe that a Directory
| named "Documents" must be merged with their "My Documents" "folder"
| and I really would like to have Windows stop trying to be so bloody
| helpful and get out of my way!
|
You may be the most good natured person here.
You even apologize when you're critical.

And I figured out what may be the cause: desktop.ini
Deleted that and I can call "documents" anything I want; and can
see that in the "folder tree". (I like Robocopy.)

As for the smart phone, years ago, I got an iPod instead of the
Traditional Toaster when I opened a checking account. "Very cool, I
can now listen to 'my music'. Of course, it came in the mail after I
dove 2000 miles on a vacation. Anyway, one thing leads to another,
and I get a "smart phone" to use as an improved iPod (not as a phone.)
then my son-in-law gets offered a good deal: accept the cellphone
Internet and cable TV bundle and it is less than for Internet alone.
"But wait, there is more!" Act now and when you add two more people to
you cellphone plan, you can save $20!
So now I have a "free" cellphone plan, he gets a bonus if I don't
use more than 2 gigs a month, and I'm trying to find apps for the
android that mimic what I had on the iPod touch!
"Not like when I was a boy. There was one phone, on the wall in
the kitchen, and that was because my father was the Base Chaplain. And
snakes wore shoes, and dirt was two dollars a pound if you could get
it!"

Old farts these days - not like when I was a boy! We used to
have us Real Geezers in those days! Now, they'll let anybody
with a little gray hair be an old fart!
