Citrix messing up networking
I have a Citrix vpn client running on my machine.
Everything works fine for a short time, then I find that I can't see anything on the internet with IE (or firefox or pinging from the console). As soon as I close the client, everything works fine. Does anyone know that is happening here? Thanks, Tom |

Citrix messing up networking
What is really wierd is that I can seem to get to Google.com when I ping it
or look at it with IE. But when I do Yahoo.com, sbc.com, alaskair.com I get this: ************************************************** ************************ C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.yahoo.com Ping request could not find host www.yahoo.com. Please check the name and try again. C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.sbc.com Ping request could not find host www.sbc.com. Please check the name and try again. C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.alaskaair.com Ping request could not find host www.alaskaair.com. Please check the name and try again. ************************************************** ********************** But when I try it after I close Citrix, I get: ************************************************** ************ C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.yahoo.com Pinging www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net [209.131.36.158] with 32 bytes of data: C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.sbc.com Pinging www.sbc.com [144.160.103.79] with 32 bytes of data: C:\Documents and Settings\tomsping www.alaskaair.com Pinging www.alaskaair.com [159.49.253.16] with 32 bytes of data: ************************************************** ************* In the first example, It seems that it doesn't know the IP address and can't get it. I assume it can't get to the dns servers. The fact that Google works may be because its address is in the cache since it happens to be my home page. So what would Citrix be doing that would cause this. Remember that it doesn't do this right away. Could be 10 or 15 minutes after running it. Thanks, Tom "tshad" wrote in message ...
