Default Problem with web folders

And it seems that you are right about WE automatically opens IE. Or actually
the Common Dialog control will show correct, but will not accept the starting
point as a http address. But after choosing the web folder it will show
correctly.

So there seems to be no solution.

Hi Rick!

Maybe I did not make myself clear in the explanation of the problem.

It's not a missing icons/options problem.

It's just that when typing in a http or https address in Windows Explorer
it opens Internet Explorer.

In Vista it does not do this but shows a file view if the destination is
a SharePoint area.

David

In Win XP I do not think WE had browser capability, so it makes sense to
open IE for a web page. What version IE (7 or 8?)/

I don't like being "right" if there is no solution!-)
