setting "Explorer" view in XP
I guess there are many ways to skin this cat. I created a desktop shortcut
from EXPLORER.SCF then pinned it to my classic Start Menu. The details of the shortcut a 'Target': C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.SCF. 'Start In': C:\WINDOWS. It opens explorer at C: root. Since I put it in the Start Menu, I deleted the shortcut from the desktop... your choice. After looking at Alex's solution, I think it has the most flexibility. Just my 2 cents.... HTH... DD -- nospammsn "Mark" wrote in message ... I'm trying to use the Windows Explorer function (like the old days in 98 etc.) and cannot figure out how to "set" or "hold" the view I want when I open the program again. It always defaults to opening "My Documents" and showing the many un-used folders within. How do I set it, and keep it, opening on my C drive!??? Any help appreciated. |
