About ten versions behind the times - which is probably why a
download is so hard to find. Anyone found a live link?

Unless your firewall is in another computer not made by
M$, they just walk around it or through it.
They wrote the operating system, you know.
They and the NSA know all about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but seems to me that Avast's Firewall for
Windows does not rely on Windows Firewall, it is not just an "interface"
for Windows Firewall.

It doesn't have to have anything to do with the Windows Firewall.
Microsoft will simply disable the Avast firewall, then do whatever they
wish to your system. After all, they're keeping admistrative control
over W10 installations for that very purpose.

I don't see that happening. If it ever happens, I am going to think
about it.

I don't think that's their purpose.
