Default Default Recording Volume

I use a program called Replay Radio, which records Internet Radio shows.
The recording volume always defaults to the middle of the volume slide for
Mono Mix. This makes the recording way too loud. Does anyone know how to
change the volume to the second tick on the volume scale?

Thanks,
Paul
