| I am looking for a Free Usenet Reader. I will soon be buying a new PC

| now using. I only use Usenet, for similar "Advise" oriented groups (no
| binaries), thus I thought there might be a suitable free Reader.

This is second-hand advice, but it might be
useful. I still use Outlook Express 6 and find
it very much adequate, but this topic used to
come up periodically in programming newsgroups
I frequent and several old-timers raved about
Mesnews. I haven't tried it myself. I don't like
all the fancy extras like color-coding of preceding
comments in a post. But I know those features
are important to some people.

Are you really looking for a reader or a provider?

A provider, obviously. He says so in the subject heading and in the post
itself. He doesn't want a free Usenet reader.

I don't know about that. The subject is 'Free usenet reader' and the question asks about 'reader'.

I see nowhere that he used the word provider.

A bit childish on my part, but I couldn't resist being facetious in light
of Carter's question to the OP when the OP's question was clear and
not open to any interpretation, as you yourself can see.

Except for your inability to figure out how to make it quote properly.
