Default Service Pack enquiry

Dear Sir/Madam;

I heard of the upcoming Service Pack of
Microsoft Windows XP and I am quite interested to find out
if I have to install Service pack 1 first or can directly
Service Pack 2? The same applied to Windows 2000. Do I
need to install the service pack in order like from
Service pack 1 to 2 to 3 then only 4?

Thanks

Chris;
Service Packs are cumulative.
There is no reason to install a previous Service Pack prior to
installing the new.

You should be up to date with all your service packs and
patches anyways so that was a stupid question.
If you not up to date, you shouldn't be online reading
this.
