XP won't print to USB HP Deskjet 882c on Intel 875 board
Since this is a brand new chipset/board I assume this is
a compatibility issue that was never checked. The printer works fine on my old AMD motherboard (AMD 761 chipset with USB 1.1), I just verified that. I've tried everything, uninstalling, rebooting, etc... Sometimes the USB Printing support doesn't even install correctly (This device can not start, Code 10). Other times everything looks ok, XP adds the printer drivers ok, but as soon as I try to print (test page, Notepad, anything) it pops up a little USB error window saying it can not print. I assume updated USB drivers are in the works? |

Also follow the HP instructions for installation EXACTLY Eric Booth |

If this is a new board:
a) Did you do a Repair Installation of XP to ensure all the chipset changes were correctly identified? b) Did you install SP1 as the new board probably is USB2.0. Drivers for USB2.0 are in SP1.
