temp file
I like to keep my temporary folders clean and clear them
regularly, lately there's 1 file I can't seem to delete and of which 1 is added on each reboot. It's in local settings\temp and looks like this ~df????.tmp (the ?'s are single character wildcards). Could somebody tell me what these are, or how I can find out which program is maintaining a lock on this file? Regards, Kees Spierings

Try and rename the file from a command prompt, then delete it. I'm not = sure why the file is being re-created. is deleted when word is stopped and the funny thing is that Word is not in my Windows startup at home, though it's installed on my System. I guess some component that is invoked at startup must be causing this.. weird.. The file is being created even though Word is not run, must be some office component.
