Default Cannot uninstall iTunes on Windows XP Pro

Hi there, I'm writing to see if anyone know how to resolve this
problem. For some reason when I tried to uninstall iTunes on my
Windows XP workstation, I'm getting this error message (a pop-up
window):

------
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder
containing the installation package "iTunes.msi" in the box below.

Use source: (folder).
------

I don't know if it was because I did the regclean or something that
got rid of some critical registry info for iTunes would cause this
problem. I have tried many ways so that I could upgrade to the newest
version of iTunes, but the installer would try to uninstall the older
version of iTunes first, and it always fail to uninstall it. Anyone
know how to fix this issue? Thanks!

This can also happen if you used a web installer that used a temp folder
and then deleted the temp folders. Work around it by reinstalling and
immediately uninstalling it.

But right now I can't even reinstall it, as during the reinstallation,
it will try to remove the OLD version of the iTune and of course it
can NOT remove it.. so I'm just really stuck right now. Any other
ideas? Thanks!

At least one of two things are being detected. One is iTunes folders, and
the other is iTunes or related registry entries. Locating and deleting the
folders is pretty easy, and searching for iTunes references in the registry
and deleting them will likely take you a long way - make a restore point
*first*.

Otherwise, contact Apple iTunes support for information on manual removal.

Googling "manually remove iTunes" may also help:
