Default December updates ?

Hello all
In the December updates there is an 'important' update kb3207752.
Selecting More Information leads to
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3205397 with the message
Try searching for what you need

This page doesn’t exist.

Can anyone tell me if this update is ok ? ie. no telemetry etc.
TIA

I saw that too. Microsoft is really giving a "**** you" to everybody
who doesn't blindly install their updates these days.

I am also holding off on the updates until there's a clearer
description of what's being installed.

I knew this new update method would be a cluster, so I update and then run
Blackbird:

http://www.getblackbird.net/

It gets rid of any nasties that slide by. I can then make note of the ones
it removes so I can hide them (repeatedly) when Windows wants to install
them again.

First I've seen of this Blackbird; looks potentially useful. (And seems
to be free, without even a Donate button.)

Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks; as you say, somewhat regurgitated, but a good summary (and
positive).

They screwed up the URL for More Info. I just checked and, yep, the KB
number in the URL does not match the KB article described as available.
The URL should point to:

It got discussed on several occasions back when MS was trying to sneak
telemetry onto Win 7 systems, and trying to sneak Win 10 onto Win 7
systems. I used it during that period and have a favorable opinion of
it.

I've been using it since it was first released, back when we all had to run
GWX Control Panel too. It does what it says and just keep getting better.

I've just tried it on W7 Pro, SP1, 32-bit and it showed all green. I did fix
most things before even connecting to the 'net and installed the AV and FW
from a USB stick.
