winr msinfo32.exe

If you want a text file, use File -- Export

File -- save gives you an XML file.

Showed up in Plus! for Windows 95 and then in Windows 98. Before that
it was winmsd.exe.

Or System Information.

Used to be good for looking for IRQ conflicts but haven't seen one of those
since Windows ME.

MSOffice (Word etc.) has a link to it (or something very similar), too.

So do most video driver Control Panels. My Nvidia CP gives me all kinds of
info about the system, more than I'll probably ever need :-)

The occasional game provides some sort of system info, at least as far as the
game is concerned. For example, the original Neverwinter Nights had a thing
that reported this-n-that. Not nearly as much as msinfo, but enough to assist
with game issues.
