Default Upgrading CPU's

Check the temperature in the BIOS, it might simply be overheating. 60C or
more and something isn't quite right, more than 70 switch it off.

I have upgraded my PC from a AMD 1500+ to a AMD 2100+.
The PC goes through its boot and sees the 2100 but after
Windows XP beings to start the screen locks-up and it just
has an arrow on it. Does Windows XP have a problem with
the upgrade (going to a new CPU)?

Thanks
don
