Upgrading CPU's
Check the temperature in the BIOS, it might simply be overheating. 60C or
more and something isn't quite right, more than 70 switch it off. Dave. "don" wrote in message ... I have upgraded my PC from a AMD 1500+ to a AMD 2100+. The PC goes through its boot and sees the 2100 but after Windows XP beings to start the screen locks-up and it just has an arrow on it. Does Windows XP have a problem with the upgrade (going to a new CPU)? Thanks don
