Default Internet Connection & System Restore

I connect to internet using a wireless notebook adapter and last time I
turned on my internet connection disappeared. I tried using new connection
wizard but did not work so I was going to restore system to when I had
connection. When I tried to restore it said I had to restart to use restore
function so I restarted and get the same thing. I also noticed I cant restore
anything from my recycle bin either. Does anybody have any idea what happened
or more importantly what I do to fix this? Thanks,
mleehb
