Seems to rate pretty good over he

I noticed the comment:
Older version had OpenCandy Adware/malware, but now
funded by donations.

Which is why I ripped it out before.

Looks sweet! Thank you!

Will it detect a flash drive by "Label" (as opposed to letter)?

And does it get ****ed if the flash drive is not inserted?

No. It works by path, so you'll have to choose a specific drive letter in
diskmgmt.msc, like "S," for the sync drive, and once you do that Windows
will always give that exact USB key the letter "S."

You can do this with path mounts too. If you're worried about drive
letter conflicts, you can mount it to a directory location on a stable
drive letter like "C."

But you have to set a static mount point.

And does it get ****ed if the flash drive is not inserted?

You need to check "Ignore path errors" in the job settings (and you can
set up a different job for each drive, if this isn't what you always want
to have happen). Then it will just ignore the fact that it can't back up
when the USB key is missing.

Oops. Check that. Now that I looked at all the settings, there's a check
box for "Adjust Path Drive" that the tooltip says allows saving of volume
serials, so I'm not sure how you set that up, but it does look like it's
possible.

Play around with it.

I have been using SyncBackFree
https://www.2brightsparks.com/freewa...eware-hub.html

I installed it about 15 years ago and it has worked without any
problems. You can backup or synchronize the folders and drives.

I`m using SyncBackPro also since 15 years or so. But here robocopy
would do the job.
