Default Auto Text

I have a new gateway laptop with Windows XP home edition.
I have installed Word 2000.

When I attempt to use AutoText in the footer for file path
and name i get the words "file path and name" instead of
the actual filepath and name for the document. The same
thing happens with "Page # of ______Pages"

The Word 2000 works fine on my desktop.

Anyone have any ideas

Thanks
