Default SP2 Good Upgrade

Testy,
No, I got that big Security Center window. In fact it added an
icon to that in my tool bar at the bottom of my screen. That is the only
thing I noticed it did other than also add a 2nd icon for Internet Explorer,
which I deleted.

Doesn't sound like it to me that big Severity Center pop up is hard to
miss!

Well I took the plunge and downloaded the SP2 upgrade. Even with a DSL
connection it took a little over an hour. Then I ran the install and
that took a good bit of time also.

But in the end everything seems to be working fine. In fact I can't tell
that the upgrade even did anything to my system. No settings were
changed, nothing new appears to have been added anyplace, my system
looks and runs exactly the way it did before the upgrade.

I guess thats a good sign.

No problems? --- So are you sure it actually installed? j/k

That might be correct. I keep my system as clean as possible
at all times. I run 3 different spyware programs at least once a

week,

defrag about every 2 months or so, and I’m selective, almost to
the point
of phobic about what programs I put on my system and I run Windows
Washer
every day.

This is how I am as well, but I also got the c0000135 error after
installing SP2. I was wondering if it’s possible that the spyware
programs caused the problem! Is it possible that Sypbot S&D deleted a
necessary registry? It did prompt me to allow some additions after
the SP2 installer ran.

Please get your stories straight, was your first message in error where you
stated that "nothing new appears..." or is your later message in error,
wherein
you state "..it added an icon...at the bottom of my screen...also added a
2nd
icon for IE..."
