Not true, but enough people apparently think so that I've been able to
make a very comfortable living. :-)


Normal people do not have a network tester. One that doesn't simply
measure continuity. We have to install the cable and hope.


"Do not have" isn't really a problem, since everything you need is
freely downloadable. "Don't know how to use" is perhaps a bigger hill to
climb. I'd agree if you had said it that way.

Other common impediments seem to be "Afraid to try" and thinking of
knowledge as a fatal disease.
