Have you tried anything like this, to help read the monitor screen? https://www.buymightysight.com/ A friend of mine just bought a pair at our local Walmart, and thinks they work great. No, haven't tried them, But now that you gave me a heads up I certainly will order a pair. For $20 you can't go wrong. Thanks for the tip, Will report after I try them. Rene |

I don't know they will help, but I also know you often have to actually try things to see if they work. I'll be interested to know how it turns out. I looked at the pair that SC Tom mentioned, which are about the same price, but then read the comments about cleaning them. Uh-Oh!!! That could be a problem. But now that I own a magnifying glass with a lit frame, I certainly see the value of the LEDs in the eyeglass frame. I may just go to Walmart and buy a pair. I'd certainly like to be able to take my monitors back to their native resolution and look away at something else in the near area and *not* have to occasionally grab a flashlight. -- Ken MacOS 10.14.6 Firefox 69.0 Thunderbird 60.8 "My brain is like lightning, a quick flash and it's gone!" |

OK I have ordered 2 pairs from Amazon, But without the leds, they are exactly the same made by the same company, but I don't need leds for monitor work anyway. Here is another help that I cannot do without, I have been wearing one on my glasses since 1964, It is on my glasses at all times on my left eye (the better one) I have 2 spares just in case. I have only lost one in a span of 55 years. https://www.amazon.ca/Jewelers-Magni...gateway&sr=8-1 Rene |

They used the loupes as part of the plot in the movie National Treasure. The lenses were different colors so our heroes could see secret hidden items supposedly written on the back of the US Declaration of Independence. How about an update since you started using the different screen resolution? -- Ken MacOS 10.14.6 Firefox 69.0 Thunderbird 60.8 "My brain is like lightning, a quick flash and it's gone!" |

How about an update since you started using the different screen resolution? Yes, was meaning to post but got a bad case of stomach problem so wasn't too spry. The 1600 x 900 is definitely the greatest help, Makes everything quite usable thanks. My loupes have two lenses so I have 3x, 5x and 15x with the 2 in tandem, I usually use the 3x for most reading books and magazines etc. Rene |
